Welcome to Double Dutch Farm, LLC! We are nestled in the southern valley of Morristown, Indiana which is centrally located in the state.
What once started as a little girls dream in having horses, has grown into a larger than life reality for Tara E.A. LaFave, owner/operator of Double Dutch Farm, LLC.
After years of breeding and showing American Modern Shetlands, the love of a good "English" horse was epitomized in the arrival of the Dutch Harness Horse in America in 2000. After promptly purchasing the first foal (and several after that), Tara E.A. LaFave switched her entire stock to Dutch Harness Horses with the help of Clarke Vesty.
Since 2001, Double Dutch Farm, LLC has been known for its quality purebred Dutch Harness Horses. In 2009, the decision was made to expand the bloodlines to include Arabian, Half Arabian, National Show Horses, as well as Dutch Harness Horse Crosses.

In 2011, Double Dutch Farm, LLC opened its doors to Shelby Weintraut and Weintraut Racing. A fresh new face to the Thoroughbred Racing community.
Shelby Weintraut, after several years of working for a number of top trainers, decided to go into business for herself, implementing her ideas on how to train and work the race horses. Coming previously from a show background, Shelby felt it important to teach her race horses basic skills that would help them have second careers after they fulfilled their legacy as a race horse.
Many of the horses in Weintraut Racing's race string, once retired, have moved onto great homes within the community. Many becoming the family favorite 4-h project, while some have made their name on the dressage, show jumping, or eventing circuit.
Horses from "both sides of the farm" are available for sale at all times. For a visit, please contact Double Dutch Farm, LLC to set up an appointment
